Left Hand Milk Stout Review

Hmm, I remember this beer being a little different. I think I might have been drunk the other two times I had it. Oh well, now I’m sober as a bird(unfortunately). Okay, now, before I get off topic, this is a pretty good beer. It starts off with a good smoky flavor, and finishes with a hint of cream flavor. I believe this is a good gateway beer for someone to start getting to really know stouts. Now, don’t get me wrong, Guinness is a great stout, but is a little, dare I say, light bodied for my taste. Stouts are my favorite type of beer, the type of beer that I feel I get the most out of. This beer, though, like Guinness, is a little light for my taste. This beer is too light on the malt that is needed in stouts, well, stouts that I enjoy, anyway. But, in light of that, this is a good beer, and I am sure that someone enjoys it more than I do…

I had this a couple weeks ago at a pizza place but lost my notes to it. I do remember liking it and I agree it could be a good gateway beer for people with stouts.

I thank you for your comment on my site and I have already added your site to my blog roll. I will definitely keep my eye on your blog here. I love branching out and getting other people’s takes on beer. It also gives me good recommendations on things to try.

I agree Rogue makes some good ones. I haven’t tried the Hazelnut yet but I am a very big fan of Dead Guy Ale.

    Here’s to you!!

I also thanked the site admin for the comment and link exchange. Just as you do, I enjoy reading other opinions and finding new, enjoyable beers.

Was that pizza place called Mellow Mushroom, by any chance? I do know the one I previously worked at has now picked up this beer, and has had it for a few months now, I believe. If this was the one, or any Mellow Mushroom for that matter, they are knowledgeable in the ways of the beer, and are also a pleasant crowd to be around(At least, when I left, they still were.)

And, as far as the Hazelnut goes, that is a very tasty beer, from what I remember, but had it before I really got into craft brews…Might have to pick that up soon…

Well, thank you for checking us out. Keep in touch!
